Manuel Costescu

Manuel Costescu is a Consultant of WALK. He has more than 15 years of experience in Europe, USA and Canada in large commercial companies, banks and public sector and he is focused on business transformation and leadership. His facilitation work, team alignment and reorganization includes corporate clients such as McKinsey, ING, JP Morgan, ArcelorMittal, Novartis, Canon, O2, etc. In addition, Manuel taught modules at Oxford Blavatnik School, London Business School, Maastricht School of Management and Romanian Academy of Economics.
Between 2005 and 2010, he worked for McKinsey and Co. as an Engagement Manager in the New York offices, focusing on strategy, organization and implementation. Prior to joining McKinsey, Manuel worked for The Brattle Group, an electric consulting firm in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Until March 2017, he worked as a member of the Romanian Parliament in the commission of intelligence. Previously, he developed and managed InvestRomania, an investment and foreign trade agency, as Secretary of State in the Ciolos technocratic government. Before entering politics, Manuel worked as an Executive Director at JP Morgan in London.
Manuel holds an MBA from MIT Sloan (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) and a BA in International Development from Harvard Kennedy School. He holds a BA in Economics from Brandeis University.
Manuel works in English, Romanian, Spanish and German and is fluent in French and Italian.
